Recruiting Preparation
Tailor Your Resume Without Changing The Facts
Connect a job description to experience you can support. Use a concrete before-and-after example, then prepare and review your one-page resume.

Tailoring changes the emphasis and wording. Your responsibilities, contributions and results still need to come from experience you can support.
Read For The Work Behind The Keywords
Read the job description for what the person will do. Is the team asking for research, analysis, coordination or clear communication? For each relevant requirement, identify an experience that shows the work. UC Berkeley's resume guidance recommends connecting your skills and accomplishments to the position, using concise descriptions.
A phrase belongs on your resume because it describes something you've done. Repeating a term from the posting without supporting experience does not make the connection stronger.
A Fictional Before And After
Suppose a fictional student project involved reviewing customer interviews, grouping repeated feedback and presenting findings to a project team. The target role asks for customer research and clear recommendations.
Before: "Helped with customer research for a team project."
After: "Synthesized customer interview notes into recurring themes and presented findings to guide the team's recommendations."
The revision names the contribution already present in the source facts. It doesn't add revenue, leadership authority or an invented percentage. If a result was qualitative, describe it clearly rather than manufacturing a number. Keep official role titles and dates accurate.
Bring Useful Context, Then Choose Your Mode
Add your current PDF or DOCX and the target job description. You can continue with that resume or add relevant Career Profile information. The profile can bring together experience from multiple resume versions, but review extracted information before relying on it.
Choose Build Automatically to use supported source information and confirmed evidence. Choose Review Changes when you want to apply a suggestion or keep the original one at a time. Both paths lead to automatic one-page preparation and a final preview.
If you use the profile prompt in your own AI tool, review its suggestions before confirming facts. That is a separate tool you control; Omni MBA does not connect to your AI account. Reject anything that changes what actually happened.
Check The Finished Page
Read the prepared page for meaning and layout. Supported one-page PDFs retain measured fonts and positions; wording that cannot fit safely may stay unchanged with an explanation. Unsupported PDFs offer an explicit rebuilt layout, and DOCX uses the disclosed rebuilt layout.
Review fitting changes, preview the PDF and follow the employer's submission instructions. If you return later and the original PDF is no longer in browser memory, reattach that same file for a source-format export. Keep the downloaded version with the role it was prepared for.
